RPL Application Support

Recognition of Prior Learning is an assessment pathway where an RTO considers evidence of your existing skills, knowledge, and work experience against the requirements of a qualification.

My Qualification Co helps clients understand possible RPL options and prepare supporting documents for consideration by the relevant RTO.

The RPL process may be suitable for people who have relevant industry experience and can provide evidence such as employment records, work samples, references, photos, videos, licences, certificates, or other supporting documents.

The final assessment outcome depends on the quality, relevance, sufficiency, and currency of the evidence provided, as well as the requirements of the relevant RTO.

A More Efficient Pathway Where Suitable

RPL may reduce the need to repeat learning in areas where you can already demonstrate competency. Timeframes vary depending on the qualification, the evidence provided, and the assessment process of the relevant RTO.

A Practical Option for Experienced Workers

Where RPL is suitable, it may be more practical than completing a full course from the beginning. Fees and requirements vary depending on the qualification, provider, evidence review, and assessment requirements.

Support with Evidence Preparation

Preparing evidence for RPL can be time-consuming. We assist clients by helping organise documents and understand the type of evidence that may be required by the relevant RTO.

STEPS

Step 1 — Preliminary Review
We review your background and work experience to help identify possible RPL options. This is a preliminary review only and does not guarantee eligibility or qualification issuance.

Step 2 — Document Preparation
If a possible pathway is identified, we help you understand the documents and evidence that may be required.

Step 3 — Application Support
We assist with organising your supporting documents for submission to the relevant education provider where required.

Step 4 — RTO Assessment
The relevant RTO reviews the evidence and determines whether the requirements of the qualification or units of competency have been met.

Step 5 — Outcome
If the RTO determines that the requirements have been met, the RTO may issue the relevant qualification or statement of attainment.
